- University
of Texas at Austin library catalog
- This is the largest library in this part of the United States.
The public can use materials in the libraries. If you are an ACC
student or staff, ask in any ACC library about obtaining checkout
privileges with a TexShare card.
- Texas State Library
- Access to the library's catalog and to many other information
resources. This library is open to the public and is located next
to the Capitol building.
- Texas State University Library - San Marcos
- The University was formerly called Southwest Texas State University.
- St. Edward's University Library
- in south Austin.
- University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
- Medical library in San Antonio.

Library Catalogs
- TexShare is a collection of Texas libraries, most of which allow free use of each other's libraries. ACC is a member of this group. This link goes to a list of all TexShare libraries that have their catalogs available over the Internet. Please check the lending policies of the participating libraries if you have questions.

- Find books and periodical articles from ten Texas libraries, including ACC and UT, all in one search.
- The National Library of Medicine
- The NLM is the largest medical library in the world. It is
part of the U.S. Government and is located in Bethesda, Maryland.
It is a good place to search for material on a topic. Once something
is found, then try local libraries.
- The Library of Congress
- This library in Washington, D.C. has the largest collection
in the world. You may also want to try the library's
homepage, which has additional research tools useful for topics
on American government and history.
- Texas Tech University Library
- The university based in Lubbock will soon start offering courses at regional centers in central Texas.

- A collection of links to library catalogs all over the world.
- LibDex: The Library Index
- Lists the web sites for over 12,000 libraries from around the
world. Other related information on publishers, community networks,
conferences, is also given.
