Who we are

We are proud to introduce the Technical Services Department for ACC Libraries. We are led by Head Librarian Cherry Beth Luedke. Melissa Airoldi is our Systems Administrator. Also on the team are Senior Library Specialist Pam Lackey, Senior Library Specialist Sallie Buchner, and Library Specialist Pat Salinas. Bridgette Barr is our Administrative Assistant.

Our Facilities

The Technical Services department of ACC's Library Services is responsible for a wide variety of support services without which, there would be no ACC libraries! Technical Services administers the Innovative Interfaces integrated library system. The staff's many duties include the purchasing, cataloging, and processing of all electronic and print library materials. Licensing and management of the hundreds of electronic databases involves collaboration with TexShare as well as with many individual vendors. In the past few years, Library Services has dramatically increased its purchase of e-books from Gale Virtual Reference Library, Safari Books, NetLibrary, ebrary, Oxford Reference Online, StatRef!, and Nursing Books @ Ovid. Each collection comes with its own quirks and maintenance challenges but Technical Services staff quickly and efficiently solves all problems in order to make materials accessible. Located on the 5th floor of the Pinnacle campus, Tech Services is not open to the public but instead, work their magic 'behind the scenes.'
