- Onsite: Library staff is available on-site at the four Library Centers listed above. You can contact them in person, by phone or email.
Hours of availability vary at each Center so be sure to see the above chart for your specific location.
- Ask a Librarian - Online, Phone, or Live Chat: Ask a Librarian is always an option.
- Website: The ACC Library Website has a number of helpful resources available for all our students.
See our FAQs, Guides & Tutorials and many more resources online.
- Blackboard: When using Blackboard, click on the "Library TAB" to connect to the Library website and access services and resources.
If you are the course instructor, contact Library Services for Distance Learners staff to add additional library materials or services to your Blackboard course.
An ACCeID is required of all students when accessing online library electronic resources remotely.
This becomes especially important for students at Centers and Sites because you need to access most ACC Library services and resources remotely.
The following ACC Library services require an ACCeID:
An ACCeID is your ACC ID number preceded by your first name initial and a password that you will create upon activation.
Also, this is the same username and password required to access Blackboard and many other ACC online services.
To activate your ACCeID you will need your ACC ID (you can find this number on registration and payment statements).
Contact the ACC Helpdesk for assistance with ACCeIDs.
Computers with Internet access are available at the four ACC Library Service locations listed above. Thus, you can access ACC Library online resources at these locations.
Please see the ACC Library Service staff at these locations for assistance logging into workstations. They typically have an additional step to gain computer access.
Center specific requirements:
- Bastrop Center
- Computer access at ACC Bastrop Library Services requires a Bastrop ISD user ID and password that will be issued to all ACC students by the on-site librarian upon request.
- Fredericksburg Center
- ACC students wishing to use computers at ACC Fredericksburg Library Services will have to fill out an Acceptable Use Agreement. Students are then issued a Fredericksburg ISD username to logon to a computer on-site.
- Round Rock Higher Education Center
- Students attending classes at RRH must go to the Computer Technology Center in Room 304 and show a current ACC photo ID to receive a RRH username and password.
- San Marcos Center
- Computer access at ACC San Marcos Library Services requires a San Marcos ISD user ID and password that will be issued to all ACC students by the on-site librarian upon request.
After logging on to a workstation with these "local usernames and passwords," you can then go to the ACC Library Website to access online libary services and resources. Again, you will need an ACCeID to access certain online resources, see the ACC Library staff for assistance.
Document Delivery is the primary method of getting ACC Library materials (such as books and articles) to these 4 ACC Library Service locations and to you.
Library materials are listed in the Library Catalog. Please check the Library catalog prior to making a document
delivery request.
Distance Learning Document Delivery forms.
Be sure to indicate which location you wish to have library materials sent, or provide a current mailing address if you need them delivered to your home.
Important Note: If you are enrolled at any of the seven ACC Campuses (CYP, EVC, NRG, PIN, RGC, RVS, SAC) contact the ACC Library at that campus for document delivery assistance.
The forms above are limited to use only by ACC Distance Learning students.
The Library Catalog (Alicat) lists items in the collection such as books and media - held at all of the ACC Library service locations.
You do not need an ACCeID to access the ACC Library Catalog.
Use the catalog to locate library materials (such as books, journal titles, or media).
You can search the catalog by title, author or subject and you can also limit your search to the Campus Library nearest you. Contact any ACC Library for assistance using the Library Catalog.
All seven Campus Media Centers have ITV Course Tapes available - viewable only on-site. ACC Campus Libraries also have some ITV sets available for checkout.
The four ACC Library Service Centers maintain a smaller collection of ITV Course tapes -- and availability differs greatly among these 4 locations.
It is strongly recommended that you contact ACC Library staff at your course location to verify if they have the ITV tape set you are seeking.
As an ACC student, you are eligible for a TexShare card. TexShare is a state-funded program that allows participating libraries to share resources. With a TexShare card, you can borrow books from other academic and public libraries in Texas like The University of Texas Libraries or the Austin Public Library.
To get a TexShare card you must sign a user agreement and be in good standing with ACC Library Services. Go to any ACC Campus Library to get your card today.
