Audience

The “Know How” campaign is intended to foster ongoing interest in information literacy services in the minds of current and prospective ACC staff, students, other college constituents and especially teaching faculty.

We believe that information literacy is a partnership between teaching faculty and librarians. Therefore, library instruction should reflect the expectations of both librarians and classroom instructors. Know How emphasizes the knowledge skills that faculty and librarians expect and desire for students. Through formal instruction in information retrieval skills students learn to apply critical thinking skills to find the information they need. Together faculty and librarians join their “know how” to help students learn to make effective use of ACC libraries and their resources.
