Public Vs Private

The library has access to many private resources that won't show up in normal searches.

Within the web, there are "public" portions that anyone can get to and "private" portions restricted to people who are registered and who frequently have paid to get access.

For example, the ACC library catalog is available to the public.

In the private portion there are collections of full-text periodical articles and online encyclopedias available over the web only to ACC students because the school subscribes to these collections.
