Using Boolean AND

Example: Your topic is "Ecological tourism"

The first keywords you decide on are ecology and tourism

Your search results are the purple area of the illustration where "ecology" and "tourism" overlap.

The purple represents all documents that contain both keywords.

Most—but not all—search engines automatically put AND between words. You have to read the help screens to know. If in doubt, go ahead and put AND between the words.
