Using Boolean OR

Use the word OR when there are many ways to express the same idea.

Putting the word OR between words makes a search engine get results that have any of the keywords. Use OR between words that are synonyms or closely related concepts.

When you search for tourism OR travel, your results are the entire yellow area that combines both keywords. It saves you from having to search each term separately.

You can also use this to search for words that are spelled different ways, such as theater OR theatre.
