Truncation
Truncation searches for all the variations of a word
Truncation is shortening a keyword to its basic root and adding a special character (usually an asterisk "*") at the end. Your search will include variations on the word.
Example: genetic* would find genetic, genetics, genetically
It’s like doing multiple searches at one time.
None of the major web search engines let you do this, but most library catalogs and databases do.
