Sometimes it’s difficult to think of any topic. In courses like Composition I, you have to write a lot of papers, so you have to have a lot of topics. But in any course where you have to write a paper or give a presentation, sometimes you get stuck.

Here’s a good way to get your brain going and to get a good source of information at the same time.

CQ Researcher is a publication that the ACC libraries get in both print and online formats. It is a 15-20 page publication that comes out once a week, but the entire issue is on one topic, so there’s quite a bit of information. The topics are current issues, and you’ll probably find one that interests you or that will make you think of a new topic that does.
