This will show you a reference database that is a good place to start research.

  1. Start with the library's homepage. Click on Articles & Research section. Then click on Articles & More. Then click on the letter G.
  2. Scroll down and click on Gale Virtual Reference Library. This database has over 100 specialized reference sources. (If you get an error message about 'cookies,' set your Internet Explorer 'Privacy' to Low. Tools > Internet Options > Privacy.)
  3. Type polar bears into the search box. You should get over 20 results from different sources.
  4. Click on the first entry that appears for your search.
