May I bring my children to the library or leave them there?

Unattended Children
A college library is not designed for children but for college students. According to the student handbook, children must be under the supervision of parents or guardians at all times. Children may not be left unattended in the library.

We make every effort to maintain an environment conducive to study and research in the libraries. Responsibility for the behavior and well-being of children rests with the parent (or guardian or caregiver assigned by the parent) and not with the Library personnel.

Additionally, the computers in the library and other ACC locations are not filtered and users may inadvertantly encounter web pages and information unsuitable for children.
