Can't Find Material on Your Campus

Can't Find Material at Your Campus?

  • Although you can limit your search results by using the drop box next to the search input box, you may want to consider broadening your search to the default option, "View Entire Collection."
    • If another ACC library has the item you want, it can be sent to your campus usually within 2-4 weekdays.
    • You can do this yourself by choosing the REQUEST button which appears when you are looking at the entry for a specific title. Or, you can give the title, call number, and specific campus location to the library staff and have them request it for you.
    • If an item is checked out, you can still REQUEST it and it will be held for you when it is returned.
  • Maybe the item is at another library other than ACC. You can search other library catalogs and WorldCat via our web page, Catalogs at Other Libraries. If you find it, you have a couple of options:
    1. Ask a staff member about a TexShare card. ...more information ...OR,
    2. You can request the item through Interlibrary Loan. Ask a Reference Librarian for help. Note: It usually takes from 2-6 weeks to receive these items.
  • Talk to a Reference Librarian. They often know of other places to look for what you need.
