- The Where to Find (location) field indicates which campus or campuses own the title and where it is kept at the campus library.
- Book Shelves means the regular part of the library.
- Media Shelves are a separate area where many classroom materials are kept. This material must be viewed in the library.
- Reserve indicates the item has been set aside at the circulation desk for a specific class. These have various brief checkout periods, including 2-HR reserves that must be used in the library.
- Reference means the item is shelved in a separate area of the library near the Reference Desk. This material must be used in the library.
- The Call Number field is the shelf address of each individual item. ACC uses the Library of Congress system which is a combination of letters and numbers. (Example: HV6439.U5 H47 1998 ). The materials are shelved alphabetically according to the first letters of the call number and then numerically.
- If you want an item from another campus, click the REQUEST button and fill in the form that comes up. The item can be sent to any campus. This usually takes 2-4 weekdays. (You can also call a library yourself and have the staff hold the item for you to pick up in person.)
If the item is unavailable -- Has a DUE date in the Current Status field. -- the REQUEST button will let you place a "hold" so the item will be set aside for you when it is returned. You will be notified when it is available.
