Reference Works
(encyclopedias, almanacs, dictionaries, atlases, handbooks, guides, etc.)
| These are good starting points. They provide short background information that makes more specific information understandable and are useful when you are trying to find key ideas, dates, people, or concepts. Reference works are available in print volumes and as online databases. Many print reference works have an online equivalent. |
