Almost every type of information—good and bad—is available in this public arena. You have to weigh the information you get from the Web, where anyone can publish content and no one is responsible for verifying or checking facts.
Despite this caveat, the Web is especially useful for retrieving very current news, for "alternative" ideas, and for both expert and popular opinions. The Web can be a good resource for local information, for business, government—federal, state, county, and municipal—and organizational information, and for obscure, hard to find data. |
