Topic
At the end of this module, you will have a good, focused topic and will know how your speech will be organized.
Sometimes it's easy to come up with a topic for a speech. Maybe some
personal interest or hobby is perfect. For example:
· “More people should use bicycles” (for a persuasive speech)
· “How to grow a bonsai tree” (for an informative speech)
Don’t pick something everyone is already familiar with or something
very few people will care about.
If you're ready to go, e-mail your topic to your instructor. (If
needed, the ACC staff directory has email addresses.)
If you do have your topic, you can skip a few pages and go to the next portion you have to do. If you need
