Toolkit Talkback – General reactions to toolkit

1. Could you begin a local information literacy community partnership effort with the toolkit as your guide? If not, why not?

If site were searchable, it would be clearer
Good scope, good beginning points

2. What is the best information you found in the toolkit?  (Please keep in mind that the bold-faced phrases/document/area titles will be linked following your input from the assembly.)

3. What is missing from the toolkit that you think would be critical in beginning your local effort?

budget -- ideas for money -- links to grant
lots of examples of existing projects, evaluations
link to glen Holt's paper on partnerships -- St. Louis -- German group (Bertleman??)
examples of sample contracts and letters of agreements
information sheets on what IL means -- meaning for public, voters
examples of connections
identify groups
pizzazz -- need marketing
base on information needs - real needs
national awareness by elected officials that libraries manage digital computer centers
marketing tools -- brochure templates, etc. -- reproducible
searchable database by geographic area or type of partner
speakers list to serve as catalyst -- lend credibility
also practical support persons -- exhibitors, vendors
why do you want to form a partnership

4. What additional questions/categories or materials could be added that would strengthen this toolkit?

How do we get partnership involved?
How do we approach?
Documents -- letter, memo of understanding, contract
Tips -- what to avoid
Budget -- type of funding -- grants, for profit
Timeline -- staff time
