Indeed - job web search engine This search engine covers many web sites with job listings. The Advanced Search lets you specify part time jobs or internships, among other features. You can sign up so new listings that match your criteria are e-mailed to you.
Occupational Outlook Handbook
Highly recommended as a place to begin searching. Published by the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics. Has short descriptions of hundreds of careers, giving required training, likely salary, growth potential, and more. This also links to several other useful government sources.
CareerOneStop Huge amounts of information--specific jobs, information on resumes and job searching, educational opportunities, worker and employer legal rights and regulations, links to many other related web sites. Funded by the U.S. government.
O*Net A site from the U.S. Department of Labor. Gives standardized descriptions of hundreds of jobs. You can search it by the name of a specific job or by general work areas or by skills.
Career Voyages Another site from the U.S. government. This one emphasizes how to choose a career and which careers have promising futures. There are also links to state-by-state jobs in specific career areas.

These commercial sites have job listings, some internships, information on employers, on-line job fairs, advice on job hunting, and places where you can post your resume for free. There are many others. The Google web directory lists dozens.
The Riley Guide: Employment Opportunities and Job Resources on the Internet
A huge collection of information on job hunting. No actual jobs are listed, but there is extensive information on resumes, job searching, interviewing, etc. The "A-Z Index" lets you focus on very specific portions.
What Color Is Your Parachute? (Job Hunters Bible) A supplement to the popular annual book (available in the ACC libraries). Help on job searching and resumes and links to other career web sites.
Health Careers Resources on the Web An extensive collection of career information in the health science fields. Developed by an ACC Librarian.
National Opportunity NOCs: Nonprofit Organization Classifieds A nationwide listing of jobs in nonprofit organizations. Also, the Career Center and Nonprofit Library have excellent lists of links to related web sites.
Best Career and Education Web Sites: A Quick Guide to Online Job Search

Google's Directory of Austin Job Sites Good listing of web sites with job listings, resume postings, information on job searching, all related to Austin.
Austin Yahoo Employment Pages This section of the Austin Yahoo search engine focuses on local career options. The "Jobs" section links to several job listings. The listings on any page can be searched for specifics.
StatesmanJobs From the local daily paper. Local job listings.
Workforce Solutions - Capital Area Austin jobs, plus many other work-related resources, such as job fair listings, resume help, information on child-care, and much more.
Texas Workforce Commission Official website of the state's workforce office. There are job listings and additional useful information, such as labor laws, unemployment insurance, etc.
