HEALTH STATISTICS

• World Health Organization -- The WHO Statistical Information System is the guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information available from the World Health Organization. Most WHO technical programmes make statistical information available, and they will be linked from here. You also have the possibility to search by keywords within the WHOSIS or throughout the entire WHO site.
• FedStats -- More than 100 agencies in the United States Federal Government produce statistics of interest to the public. The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by these agencies for public use
• U.S. Census Bureau -- Census data, Economic Census, State & Country Quick Facts, Latest Economic Indicators, Population Estimates...
• Statistical Abstract -- The National Data Book contains a collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States. Selected international data are also included. The Abstract is also your Guide to Sources of other data from the Census Bureau, other Federal agencies, and private organizations..
• National Center for Health Statistics -- The National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) provides statistical information that is intended to guide actions and policies to improve the health of the American people.
• Social Statistics Briefing Room (SSBR) -- The purpose of this service is to provide easy access to current Federal social statistics. It provides links to information produced by a number of Federal agencies. All of the information included in the Social Statistics Briefing Room is maintained and updated by the statistical units of those agencies. All the estimates for the indicators presented in the Federal Statistics Briefing Rooms are the most currently available values.
• State Health Facts -- Compiled by the Kaiser Family Foundation. A wealth of data on more than 400 different health topics for all 50 states, accessible via an interactive map, by category or by keyword search. The site covers a broad range of issues, including managed care, budgets, providers and service use, minority and women's health, HIV/AIDs, households in poverty, health insurance, etc.
