Library Services for Students with Disabilities

ACC Library Services is committed to making its collections and resources accessible to students, faculty and staff with disabilities. Libraries, media centers and computer centers provide a number of services, plus adaptive technology, and group study rooms which can be used by students with disabilities and their learning assistants.

Individual Help

Library Services provides individual help in developing research strategies for locating and using books, magazines, audiovisual sources, and computers. Although the staff can't provide services such as reading the material to you, there is adaptive technology and other resources that can help you complete assignments. (Contact the Office for Students with Disabilities at each campus for additional services.)

The most important thing you can do is to contact the Library staff before you come in. They can give you more attention. If you can't contact them ahead of time, they will be glad to help, but may not be able to devote as much time to you.

Library Location and Hours are located on the web or by calling 512-223-3084.
