Frequently Asked Questions

How can I find out if the library has a textbook for my class?

Students should not depend upon the Library for their required textbook. In general, the Library does not purchase textbooks nor does the library subscribe to or purchase electronic textbooks for students.

Some instructors may bring current textbooks to the library for student use. When this happens, the books are put in the library's special Course Reserves section. See the FAQ Finding course reserves and language CDs for more details.

**Selected textbooks are purchased by the ACC Student Support Center to assist certain student groups to gain access to required textbooks. More information ...

You may want to check in the Library Catalog for older editions of various textbooks. Often instructors will donate older copies to the collection when a new edition is released.
