Library Services for Students with Disabilities

ACC Library Services is committed to making its collections and resources accessible to students, faculty and staff with disabilities. Libraries provide a number of services, plus adaptive technology and group study rooms which can be used by students with disabilities and their learning assistants.

Individual Help

Library Services provides individual help in developing research strategies for locating and using books, magazines, audiovisual sources, and computers. Although the staff can't provide services such as reading the material to you, there is adaptive technology and other resources that can help you complete assignments. (Contact Student Accessibility Services at each campus for additional services.)

Computers in ACC libraries have enlarging and screen-reading software. Headphones are also available for use. Some libraries have text enlargers and other adaptive equipment. Please call or chat online with us for information on available equipment at specific locations.

When possible, please contact the library before you come in so we can schedule a dedicated, one-on-one appointment with a librarian.

Library Location and Hours are located on the web or by calling 512-223-3084.
