If you question the appropriateness of collection material within ACC Library Services, you may ask that the material be reviewed for consideration of removal or purchase.
You should make a thorough study of the Materials Challenge Packet before deciding whether or not to pursue a challenge to materials. After a careful review of this packet, if you still think that the item in question should be removed or purchased, complete the 2 following steps:

A "Request for Reconsideration of ACC LS Materials" form must completed by the patron. | When a request for material consideration is made. |
Form must be sent to Dean of Library Services | Immediately upon receipt by the HL |
Dean of LS creates the Materials Review Committee | Within 30 working days from the time the Dean receives the completed form from the HL. |
Committee reviews the challenge request and sends decision to LS Dean | Within 60 working days from the time the Dean receives the completed form. |
LS Dean responds to patron | Within 90 working days from the time the Dean receives the completed form. |
