This is the largest library in this part of the United States. The public can use materials in the libraries. If you are an ACC student or staff, ask in any ACC library about obtaining checkout privileges with a TexShare card.
Texas State Library
Access to the library's catalog and to many other information resources. This library is open to the public and is located next to the Capitol building.
Texas State Law Library
Access to a wide range of legal/government resources. Texas residents can register for a free library account through the website to access items in the digital collection or visit the Library in person to access print materials.

The National Library of Medicine
The NLM is the largest medical library in the world. It is part of the U.S. Government and is located in Bethesda, Maryland. It is a good place to search for material on a topic. Once something is found, then try local libraries.
The Library of Congress
This library in Washington, D.C. has the largest collection in the world. You may also want to try the library's homepage, which has additional research tools useful for topics on American government and history.
Texas Tech University Library
The university based in Lubbock will soon start offering courses at regional centers in central Texas.
